Supervision

Supervision

I am a member of the British Psychological Society’s Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors.

I work as a supervisor for practitioners working within private practice, the prison service, hospital settings and the charity sector. My experience within these settings enables me to understand the issues clinicians face working with challenging clients and the dynamics and pressures of working within complex organisations.

I have considerable experience working as a Clinical Supervisor, providing supervision for other clinicians including:

  • Qualified Clinical, Forensic and Counselling Psychologists
  • Forensic Psychologists in Training (offering both Clinical and Academic Supervision)
  • Therapists and Counsellors
  • Nurses
  • Prison Officers
  • Probation Officers
  • Social Workers

I really enjoy working collaboratively with people, helping them to develop their knowledge, confidence and skills both in training and as qualified practitioners.

I am an Academic Supervisor on the Postgraduate Diploma in Practitioner Forensic Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University

I have experience establishing and running reflective practice sessions, and debriefs following critical incidents.
